A large number of Naxalites have started leaving the path of violence and returning to the mainstream. Not only returning but also contributing to the development of the region and the state. The economic condition and standard of living of the people has changed due to the schemes of the state government to send money directly to the pockets of the general public. Sales of other manufacturing goods have increased. This is the reason that now the same voice is coming from the whole division that - Aamcho (own) Bastar is changing. There has been an increase in the level of transportation, education, health, nutrition in Bastar division. The income of the tribals is increasing. The purchase of minor forest produce has increased in the area. Ration shops are being opened in interior areas, schools which are closed are being operated again. The villagers, who were earlier opposed to the security camp, are today demanding a security camp. Friendship relations have not been established between the villagers and the security forces. The real beneficiaries are getting the Forest Rights Recognition letter, in which they are doing agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, poultry farming etc. The self-confidence of women has increased due to employment-oriented activities in Gothans and women are becoming financially self-reliant.
